Tech tools on the way out

I thought this was kind of interesting. They make a good point about these commonly used tech tools.

  1. This video does make a really good point about how the smart phone is taking everything's else place basically. It is true that it is almost eliminating the need for DVD players, GPS and CD's.

  2. That video was interesting. I agree that pretty soon DVDs and CDs are going to become a thing of the past. I wonder what is going to be the next device to lose its appeal?

  3. This video is very interesting! i never really thought about, how some devices are being "replaced" by our own phones or more technological devices like ipad's and iphone'. The 'old' devices are really losing their appeal and they are being replaced for something that's even better even though they pay more.

  4. Its crazy how technology has changed so much and so fast! It seems like yesterday I was listening to my cd player holding it a certain way for it not to skip. And phones have changed dramatically, my first phone had calling and texting that's it. Now they can hold music, email accounts, serf the web, and almost unlimited things it can do.

  5. I liked this video. It was very interesting. Pretty soon we're not even gonna notice that all the technology from the past is gone with all updated stuff.

  6. This video is interesting. I can see in the future that the DVD's and CD's are going to become replaced with something new! It boggles my mind when I try to think about what will be "better" than DVD's or CD's...crazy...

  7. i thought this video was really pretty cool. I never really thought about technology kind of replacing our old technology. It's crazy! crazy good...but the video really expressed how much our thinking and way of living being changed by technology.that can be bad but really its just pushing us on to learn more new and exciting things! :)

  8. This is all very true. Everything that used to take about 5 devices to do you can now do on your phone. Having all of that on one device that can fit in your pocket is very handy. I used to have a walkman like 10 years ago which took CD's. But now i can put like 10 thousand songs on my phone and still have room for more. Technology has come a long way.

  10. To be honest I kind of saw this coming, especially when the Ipad first came out. With music, internet, and more all put into one, it's kind of hard to beat. I feel bad for some of those old device companies going out, but it'll be much easier for people in general to stay connected.

  11. Ha, well honestly I have the very first iPod & every one that has came out after that & yea, i still use my first iPod as much as I use my newer ones. But the newer ones are a lot more useful for other things than just music anymore. They are turning into cell phones too!! :D

  12. It is crazy how much technology has changed. Everything is getting smaller and more advanced. Pretty soon we will not even have to leave the house.

  13. our future of technology is slowly taking over...
We don't really want to see it, so we "close our eyes" to it..
but all this does make sense once you realize my above statement..
everything is slowly being replaced by one thing, and so on and so forth.
    we ALL saw this coming.
one day, the things we cherish today will be gone and replaced by something far more advanced for our kids/grandkids era.
'^^. =3 enjoy the future everybody! hahah...

  14. This movie depresses me because I am very cheep. I already have a computer (that I don't really need yet) an ipod (it is nice) and a phone (that I rarely use). I don't think I want to bye a new phone to keep up with the next best thing. For me it is much easier to just use the one thing I need at the time. Personally I have made many great contacts in my lifetime and have never been using technology when meeting these people. Whats more I don't really want people to be able to get a hold of me whenever they want to just when I want them to so I don't use a lot technology anyway. So there is no reason for me to get a smart phone.

  15. This video makes have a bittersweet feeling on the inside. I know it is just a video though. It makes me feel like I'm seeing everything we once liked vanish but at the same time we are getting unbelievable new technology every day. I am excited for the future of technology. Technology makes things easier but it also can cause problems. Most likely we will continue to make successful gadgets in the future.

  16. I agree that technology is progressing. The newer it gets, the older the older stuff gets. I must say that I will be sad when all the days of actually going to the video store, renting a dvd, going home and actually having to put it physically in are gone. There's a place for classic technology, and its begining to look like there is less and less room for it.
